Day 177, October 19, 2012: We bring you up to Grand Harbor near the Pickwick Lock and Dam on the Tennessee River. Although we have moved on to Florence, AL, farther up the Tennessee from Grand Harbor at the time of this post, we will catch our faithful viewers up on our journey upriver.

Day 167, October 9, 2012 (Grand Rivers, KY): With 14 of our closest looper friends we descended on Nashville—two van loads of us plus Rusty the ageing Labrador aboard Good Karma. Nashville is the epicenter pf the country music genre, the Hall of Fame a must-see.

Day 161, October 4, 2012 (Hoppie’s Marine Services, anchorages): Here are a few images of Alton that I left out of my last post. At right is the ConAgra grain elevator with its patriotic welcome. The flood of 1993 rose to the base of the elevator and is marked with a red line.
